MAKE: What Was Shattered Whole Again With Kintsugi

  • The Rainbow SD 2910 University Avenue San Diego, CA, 92104 United States (map)

(If you please, read the following in a Haunted Mansion approproiate voice)

The Rainbow is simply tickled to host October’s MAKE and we are - perhaps not shockingly -getting dark this moon cycle. Come by your lonesome, with an accomplice … or with a foe to experience an evening of haunted creation.

If you are not yet aware, Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold. On this evening, we shall learn this craft guided by Luis, our expert guide and teacher.

In this craft, there is no attempt to disguise damage. Rather, we embrace our fractures and mend the breaks to create something new, stronger and more beautiful than ever before.

Cost: $65 per person includes all supplies, guidamce, drinks and gruel. CAPACITY IS EERILY LIMITED!!

GRAB YOUR TICKETS before it’s too late…

Details: This experience begins at 6pm. Feel free to park in the North Park Garage located at 3829 29th St. The hourly cost is reasonable.

MAKE is a monthly series hosted by Mara Altman and Nicole Zappala where we gather to connect and create over accessible, funky crafts. Experiences are guided by our hosts or in some cases, we invite artists and makers in to guide us. Check out some of the MAKEs we’ve done on Instagram.
